I'm an avid gum chewer, unfortunately on keto I cannot consume my normal gum due to sugar content. I have been shopping around and have found that most of the sugar-free gums have 2g's of sugar alcohols per stick... This is unacceptable and I am wondering, has anyone found a true NO carb NO sugar gum? BTW trident has 1 g/ stick, but I think thats just because the sticks are smaller.

ketosis makes everything about you smell bad, pee, poop, breath, its cuz the ketones get released through different functions of our body, including breathing

What about Wrigley's Orbit gum?

I know it's sugarless... i chew it all the time cuz i refuse to chew sugared gum because of fermentation.

I was always under the impression that Sugar alcohols were not real Carbs, thus whey they were never included in Protein Bars Carb analysis (previously), as they didn't spike the insulin like regular sugars? So therefore if my understanding is correct, the amount of sugar alcohols should have a neglible effect on your Ketosis? Ive been able to hit ketosis with about 20G carbs a day, maybe a little more, and as for any caloires from the gum, you would easily expend the 5 calories per stick, so what exactly is the main problem?

2g's of sugar alcohol/ stick... at least 8 sticks a day = 16 g's of sugar alcohols / day. This, in addition to my other carbs, will put me over 20 without a question.

sugar alcohols do not affect insulin production, but they do refill liver glycogen, which could throw you out of ketosis.

i chew orbit gum, only 1 gram of carbs, which is just sugar alcohol. with 5 calories per stick. would it be bad if this is my only carb intake for the day?
