Write your own songs bro. I'm not into playing other people's music, I like to create my own. If you're doing it for the practice, go with the best - Eric Johnson, Stevie Ray, Hendricks. If you can master any of their songs, you'll be doing pretty good.

I'm decent, been playing for several years. My brother just picked it up though and is starting lessons this week. I want to give him some music to learn so when he comes into town next ~X-mas, we can partake in a bonified jam session. It would be much more convetional to just jam but my brother lacks rythm so I fear more structure is required.

look to some blues. you can definitely have a rhythm guitar and a lead there.
