Growth limited by age?

At 16 years old i know i dont haev a fully matured body, does this limit my growth? i think in some aspects it does as while i will grow faster then somone in there late 20's......... i think my body may limit the amount of muscle that is put on. why are there very few huge 16-17 year olds? btw this is not an excuse i have met no limit at this point and am just wondering if i ever would. btw does muscle grow with age?
 
reason why there aren't many huge 16 -17 year old is because it takes years to make a body grow and develope. most of the Pro BBers are in there 30's. Bodybuilding isn;t like other sports where you have to be young (20's-30's) to be the best. If is fine to start lifting now at 16 becasue by 18 -19 you will have a great base to really start packin on some serious mass. Your test level now is very high putting you at an advantage. I lifted off and on in high school and i still grew another 1.5".

Sweed made some very good points and I agree with him. Getting big takes time my young Brother !!!

Also...everybody is an individual and will have growth spurts at different times when they are maturing or even entering puberty for that fact.
Some guys enter puberty at 12 while others 16/17. Some guys don`t fill out
until they are in their mid 20`s while others in their teens.

In high school some guys look like grown men with facial hair and good builts and other guys the same age look like skinny snot nosed kids. Now granted it is cool to look manly in HS but 20 years down the road those guys usually look like shit and the skinny snot nosed kid looks great.

There are some limitations with young age just as their are limitations with certain body types. Some body types just are not meant to be huge and some body types are. Just as you don`t see 230 lb. muscular gymnists swinging like a monkey on the horizontal bar competing in the Olympics you don`t see 160 lb BB`s competing in the Mr. Olympia.

Don`t over concern yourself with your age and development. You are a young Bro with many many years ahead of you to workout and develop your body.

Now get your butt in the gym and start squating !!!! :)

Can I hear an AMEN for compound movements and mass?
 
i would rather deadlift,squat, and do pullups anyday over curls and other pretty boy excercises (not that curls are bad but curls only are) :)
