We know from the research that naturally produced IGF-1 works......in fact causing localized growth of skeletal muscle, which is what we want. Unfortunately, there is little evidence that exoIGF-1 works because of it's extremely short half-life....we're talking minutes here.
There is a study or two that shows positive effects, but these researchers used a continuous IV drip of IGF-1. Wouldn't that be nice.......lay back every night and hook up your drip bag of IGF-1 and GH and get huge!
I have serious doubts about the alleged IGF-1 available on the black market. The real stuff has to be handled with great care, and must be kept at a precise temperature. If you have a legit facility to order through, there are labs that sell the real deal, but you are looking at 500+ a week and probably still no results because of the short time it is bio-active.
If the blackmarket shit was any good, we would be seeing posts about the good results. I never have seen a one.
Sorry, praetorian, but I'm not a big T3 fan. The theory is sound, but it makes me feel like shit during and after usage.......and I came in flat as hell. Had to get crazy with epogen. Probably just a personal thing, cause a lot of my friends swear by it. There is some new research that challenges the argument that GH negatively impacts the thyroid.....I'll hunt it up. (I used a lot more than the 25 you are talking about).
Competition training is very individual. Each man has to learn what ultimately works for himself through trial and error. I think I have this down now, but it took 3 decades of experimentation.
I will say this in general terms. Insulin can make a huge difference. I have some pics that show the difference......same cycle, same diet...insulin in one, no insulin in the other. The major difference in the look of today's pro's is insulin (and GH) and lots of it. Really, 300 pounds, all lean......Gunter is the same height as Arnold was, but 75 pounds heavier......contest weight! This is the new mark.
