Grits

i don't regularly, but i've had them a few times and like them

I had them once in the 80's in a dive pub/coffee house on tenth ave with my best buddy in high school who was from charleston.

Cheese grits sound interesting.

I loved farina as a kid - *drool*

r u from the panhandle area of FL?

Mrs. Digger.

Reader's Digest: "If you didn't want grits, why did you order breakfast?!?"

"Kiss my grits!" Mom made them every morning.

Love 'em with salt and margarine alongside scrambled or over-easy eggs & bacon. Don't forget the :coffee:

I was pissed the first time I ate breakfast at a Restaurant in Orlando, and they put Butter and Salt on my Cream of Wheat. I was like, wtf, to the waitress. She explained to me it was grits. Still don't like them. It's a bastardization of an older tradition of ground wheat for breakfast. Even though Johnny Reb thinks their idea was first.

Scrapple is everything else left from the pig but the squeal. it's a gelatinous souse meat, fry it up and put good maple syrup on it.
