Gregg Valentino Pic -- Synthol?

Gregg says he just injects Eq and Test directly into the bicep and tricep... no Synthol. Can this be true? If so, why aren't everyone's glutes grossly oversized from injections? Any comments? Also, I had heard that Gregg was arrested for steroid sales. Anyone have an update on this, or is it just bogus gossip?

Yeah, I think his right bi looks a little strange also. That's what makes me wonder if his size is from controlled inflammation rather than actual muscle growth. Sust-Man, as far as I can tell, the pic is real, there are more at http://www.bicepmania.com . He has been in some of the mags in the last several months.

When i looked pictures on his page he looked good younger, but now because of syntol he looks like shit.

Look those forearms! they are so skinny compared those oil tanks.
 
THAT IS MOST DEFINITELY SYNTHOL. THERE IS A NEW ARTICLE AND SOME PICS ON THIS GUY IN THE AUGUST 2001 ISSUE OF MUSCLE MAG. THEY TELL YOU ALL ABOUT HIM.

"the bodybuilding industry" continues to empower and enable this idiot by publicizing and booking him.

That is truly ridiculous and has nothing to do with bodybuilding.

Bodybuilding in my opinion is the combination of size, definition, thickness, hardness, and proportion to attain an aesthetic body. Now aesthetics is subjective, but it also something that is at least in most cases 'natural' looking.

Although the freaks of today are something to gawk at and respect, no doubt, like someone said the in Coleman post, "like a car wreck," the bodies of the 70s and 80s are much more aesthetically pleasing.

he's actually in this months muscle mag. yeah its definitely synthol. that picture actually isn't that terrible compared to the other ones in the new issue. check it out. he got some balls sayin he dont use synthol and he looks like that. wut a fukin loser... he looks rediculous
 
there is something else besides synthol going on there... to get that much size with synthol, it would take a crazy amount per bi and tri. 1000's of cc's. maybe hard silicon implants.
 
Its pretty funny, this guy sat 2 rows ahead of me at the NOC. It looked ridiculous, he has so much synthol in his shoulders that the end of his shoulder was at the middle of the seat next to him!! When Milos came on stage this guy behind me was screaming "Synthol", "Synthol", I was just watching Valentino for some sort of response, but he didnt even flinch. Kinda funny
 
I wonder what this guys family life is like. What is the conversation at thanks-giving sitting around the table with his family or his wife/or girlfriends family? Can you imagine? Its cool when people think you look good or a bit freaky, but damn. So what are you doing for work son? Oh I just train people, sell gear, do gear, and inject massive amounts of mct oil into my arms. Why? Hmm....I'm not sure.

Did anyone see the TLC special featuring him - "The mans whos arms exploded". I just got finished watching it. Apparently all he used were "steroids". The guy was an idiot but this show really focused on blaming steriods for every single problem in his (and everyone interviewed) life lol.

Saw this show as well where Valentino suffers from a mental disorder where he doesn't think he is big enough so he keeps on trying to get bigger, bigger, etc. The same mental disorder he has, people that constantly get plastic surgery where eventually they start to look like a human cat, ken doll, etc. There was a scene in the episode that showed him injecting test into his arms where he developed a real nasty infection and tried to drain it out using a big gauge needle. Eventually he had to go the hospital where they removed a big junk of muscle due to the infection.

Thread resurrected from 5 years back... Saw that Discovery or Learning channel thing on Greg the other night. What an attention whore. I think he suffers from Napolean complex. Short tiny guy that never got the attention he needed growing up from lame parents or whatever and must somehow make up for it. He was so proud in the video when he was in the gym and the video of him withdrawing blood and puss from his arm was airing on the TV. He called everyone over and was like look at me, look at me, I'm so hardcore! The biggest thing that pissed me off was during the hour long documentary, not once did they mention synthol. So ignorant people that watched it are thinking steroids made his arms that big and ended up bursting.

Are just guessing like everyone else or do you have some reason for being so certain? I'm just curious because I don't know WTF synthrol is. Supposedly it's some kind of liquid. I wasn't aware of any liquid you could inject IM (or otherwise, for that matter) and have it remain static in a localized area (like in a bicep). I personally think that they look like some sort of implants but have no reason to be sure of it.

The genesis of Synthol was an Italian steroid called Esiclene that was quite popular in the 1980's. For those unfamiliar with Esiclene, it was not used for lasting mass gains but instead immediately before a contest as a quick fix for visually weak body parts. Acting primarily as a muscle inflammatory agent, competitors injected it directly into the calves, arms, or shoulders for a bit of extra size and fullness in whichever of these smaller muscle groups were lagging. The effect was fleeting, but the drug served its purpose. In the early 90's, a German named Chris Clark began to tinker with the idea of an injectable substance that would yield more lasting gains in size. He came up with a formulation initially named Synthol, which he later learned was already a registered and trademarked pharmaceutical name. Clark quickly renamed his product Pump N' Pose, but the first name stuck. Now, the word Synthol is as much a part of the hardcore bodybuilding lexicon as Dianabol or Deca. Clark hit upon a gold mine, as there were thousands of steroid-using bodybuilders who were dissatisfied with the size of their arms, delts, and calves. Let's face it, few have the genetics to build an upper arm of twenty inches or more in lean condition, even with a boatload of anabolics and the most brutal training regimens imaginable.

One of its first users was a German strongman who billed himself as having "the world's largest arms" at 27 inches. Now, though the effect is quite obvious, as the Synthol-enhanced muscles take on shapes never found on any actual human being, you can go to any contest or large fitness expo and see several men who have injected enough oil into their bi's and tri's to satisfy their most extreme desires. Gains of two inches or more in the arms alone are quite commonplace. Synthol is also commonly used in the side delts and calves, as was Esiclene. Ironically, it is available legally, since the $400 bottles are labeled as posing oil. You sure could buy a lot of baby oil with 400 smackeroos! Despite the high price tag, its makers have found it difficult at times to keep up the worldwide demand from bodybuilders.

Saw "The Man with the Exploding Arms" last night on TLC. Valentino looks alot worse on camera than he does in MD mag (never really liked his column). Can't believe how fu'd his arms look...what a figgin' loser. Also, even though I've previously read about his purported synthol use, he was claiming that 'steroid abuse' did that to him.

Not defending the guy but the general public dosen"t care for the way bodybuilders look anyway.In their eyes he is one of us because none of us look normal to them.
 
Pretty sad that he doesnt admit to Synthol use, he gives BB a bad rep for taking steriods, this is why steriods have a bad rap because of asshats like Gregg.
 
Well.. I dont really know if there was that much synthol, because when he was arrested, he had steroids for over 70.000$
