No...it would have needed some more offense from both teams to be conisdered amonst the great games IMO. It was a good game tho, on the strength of the drama created by the close score...the lead changes...and the magnitude of what the Patriots were trying to achieve.
I enjoyed the '88 season superbowl
the 7 point underdog cincinnati bengals led the mighty 49ers 16-13 with 2 minutes and change remaining
montana orchestrated a game winning drive culminating with a TD toss to Rice
this was during the stretch when the NFC won 13 superbowls in a row,most by bad blowout scores
the Bengals made a game of it
and won the money at least
despite the low scoring first 3 qtrs,the game was still exciting because the Pats are always such a threat
and it was paramount to the Giants chances for a victory to not let NE go 2 scores up
each possession was so critical
that game stayed within one score all game
it was similar to watching a postseason NHL overtime game
