Government agencies and resource allocation...

It has always been my understanding that the government would use common sense in allocation of resources. This is not true. I have learned this the hard way over the last few days...

There is a local bank robbery in town going down and I'm getting pulled over for speeding.... 40 in a 30. I broke the law, I got a ticket, big whoop, right? Well, it seems that 1 policeman and 15 minutes was insuffient on their end, so TWO more goddamn officers came and wasted a total of 35 mins writing a ticket... this is WHILE I'M HEARING ABOUT THE ROBBERY ON THEIR DAMN SCANNERS. Turns out, the robbers get away, and had plenty of time from what I understand as well. Go figure.

Now on to the more popular topic, AS. Yes, America is in its deepest state of tragedy with mixed feelings of patriotism and anger... people are coming together to raise millions of dollars to help those who fell victim to this incident. Security is at a new high, and every officer of the law is needed in this fight versus terrorism... but jonny law is busy nosing through some guy's stash of gear. Not just this guy, but his whole network of friends and connections, because, lets face it, these guys are an immediate threat to our nation. Or are they? Lets analyze:

terrorists vs as source

Large scale damage to the nation:
advantage: terrorists

Economic disruption:
advantage: terrorists

Psycological damage:
advantage: terrorists

Making bigger/better soldiers to fight terrorism:
hrm... ok as wins
