Gotta love diet cheat day!!!

I've been eating super-clean and fairly low carb 6 days a week for awhile now, and carb/salt/fat load myself on Saturdays after every bodypart has been trained. So this is the 'bad stuff' I've eaten so far today (still taking in my protein shakes though for muscle recovery, obviously):

-a stack of pancakes with butter and syrup
-3 breakfast sausages
-2 slices of pepperoni pizza
-2 double cheeseburgers
-medium fries

Still on the menu for the day:

-chicken wings
-peanut butter and jelly sandwich
-a few cookies

So, who else is cheating today, and what R U eating?

:chomp:

when i was experimenting with different diets, i tried the low carb/cheat day. def wasn't for me. i couldn't handle the cheat day 'binges' and always got sick. :(
and the low carb days=low energy levels for me. felt horrible the whole time.

The later part of the week prior to the carb-up day (Thursdays and Fridays) was very rough for me for the first three weeks...but since then my strength has climbed back steadily to about 90 percent of were I was when I was eating whatever I wanted, and my mood swings are gone. You just have to stick with it long enough for your body to adapt.

Oh, and for the low energy, you lean on stims to get you through.

No cheat meal for me until tomorrow after my weigh in :(

Then I'm naturally going to gorge myself on fine European lager with lime, caramel slices & yoghurt raisins while watching Italy fuck Paraguay at football

I did a CKD for about 3 months and dropped around 20 lbs. I did a "carb up" day (if that's what you wanna call it) on Friday/Saturday.

My cheats were beer and pizza :)

To me, I think the main advantage of a super low carb diet was keeping the sugar completely out of the diet.

I had trouble getting enough fat. I was doing shots of olive oil at some points to get into ketosis. Weird stuff.
