did alot better in that interview then i expected,officernate had some solid advice that i followed and actually used and i think that was what helped me nail the position.

I start tomorrow going over policys and procedures aswell as looking at case files to see what the kids backgrounds are,that kind of thing,then thur i shadow another youth worker interacting with the kids etc then im on my own for the shifts after that.

still nervous as hell but i think ill be alright.

lol i dont smoke dope bro,havent since college and ive been out of college for almost 2 years.

as for the usin my physical stature over others, in bouncing its illegal,and i rarely ever had to touch anyone, working security for labour isnt what it use to be.

youth worker in a group home,basically kids with alot of anger issues etc that they dont want to just toss into a correctional facility,by doing the group home thing they are trying to break the cycle of bad behaviour

definately wont be having any sexuals with the teens dude,thats messed up and i wouldnt abuse a position of power like that.

I do however think im a really good person for the job because of all the screw ups ive had along the way and the mistakes ive learned from,i know you can go from being a bad kid on the road to jail to doing alot better with a little guidance from some good people.

i definately wont let them push me around,apparently on my thursday shift they are gonna have a freak out to try and get attention and scare me off,but im alright with that,ive been in all out riot situations so this wont be shit,im not some yuppy off the street who read a book and thinks he knows everything,I know im out of my comfort zone right now and will take some learning to sort things out,but once i get confident in my abilities there i will have no problem doing the job.
