6 pounds for 19.95 is a steal. What brand is it?

SportPharma Low Carb Whey (100% Pure Whey)

They have a web site: www.sportpharma.com

The #'s are just a teeny bit off an exact match to my Optimum Nutrition brand but much cheaper!!

The macro, price sounds exactly the same. you live in the East or West coast?
It might vary from one Costco to another

East Coast...... prolly does vary..... BUT it's prolly the same stuff but just in different containers....

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! :bigkiss:

I just got back from Costco with 12 lbs of protein powder. 1 tub of bavarian chocolate and 1 tub of vanilla. $19.99 each. This so beats spending $14 - $20 or more per pound at GNC.

Awesome tip, Jenscats5. :rose:

Alright I expect to hear something about the way this tastes today....

Your taste report: :)

Pretty good! had some mixing problems initially - it kind of clumped up into cement and I had to get the mixer gadget out of the drawer. 2nd time I added it to my shaker cup and have had zero problems with mixing. I've had much worse. (EAS)

Instone makes better, but it costs 16.99 a pound. :worried: Which doesn't make it better.

I give it two thumbs up.

I will definitely post how it tastes once I'm finished the tub of ON Chocolate I have (about 3 or 4 shakes worth)........

Shorty -- glad you like it!! Glad it's safe in the cabinet!! Hoo Ahh!!

OK, I had some of this today..... now, this is SportPharma brand, chocolate flavor....

It was pretty good...not as chocolate-y as Optimum Nutrition's but still good nonetheless, didn't feel it tasted chalky, etc...and it mixed up well....

Cool thanks for the report... My sister-n-law said they had the Chocolate banana samples at SAMS (6 pounds $20) and it tasted like a chocolate shake.

I still like the ON brand better, but liked this only a teeny bit less & I got a ton more for $20.......worth it to me....

Anyone ever tried Stallone's new whey protein? he even have protein pudding
what are your thoughts? is it any good?

Oh man....y'all.....

WHEY IS WHEY.....all whey is bland......its flaovor is dependent on added flavoring....almost all use splenda etcc...SOOO MOST taste the same...buy what is ON SALE

Well, after my quest for somethign that doesn't taste like the chocolate, strawberry or vanilla that I couldn't stand.. ending up w/ Isopure Peach Mango -- this stuff is starting to make me sick to my stomach just smelling it. I'm back to the Optimum Nutrition vanilla. I choke down the Peach stuff cuz that's what I have at work. But damn. Ish.

it's OK. Not gross - but not like JELLO brand, either. (Because it's full of WHEY. )

It's note cheap - so i stick to my big bucket-o-whey with a cup of milk. MMMMMM good. :xeye:

You could always add unflavored WHEY to good ole Jello SF/FF Instant Pudding also....

Thanks jenscat :)
Yes, I can always mix sf/ff pudding to my whey and cottage cheese for a yummy night pudding.. I just fear all the sugar alchol at night

I make "protein pudding" by making a regular batch of SF/FF pudding mix (instant) & adding protein powder to it.....Yum!! :p

I did NOT like the protein powder/cott. cheese option.... blech!! :worried:

When I get protein that I can't gag down I do one of 3 things:
Make it in as little water as possible so I can gag down less volume.
Add a little sugar free coffee flavor syrup and hope for the best.
Or I add a half to a whole scoop of muscle milk because that stuff has some sort of mystical power to change the taste to something better.

I'm sure we can all relate to being bummed that our protein powder put the "chalk" into chocolate.

I've also turned my protein powder into a shooter. :) But lately, it hasn't tasted bad at all. I'm kind of in "the zone" right now with my diet - and actually look forward to the shakes. Go figure.

Add 1-2 scoops per package -- follow the directions on the package then add the protein powder.

The direction says to heat the pudding, if I add the whey protein to the warm pudding, isnt that going to ruin the conent of the protein?

Use the SF/FF Instant pudding, not the Cook N Serve..... Otherwise I would make the pudding as usual, let it cool, then try to stir in the protein powder....

ASU said:
Instant pudding? not sure which one is that

Are you in the US?? They sell Jello Pudding here in a "cook n serve" version and an "instant" non cook version.... they say on the box which they are...
