Avenged Sevenfold - good CD. their influences are all staples in my listening collection.
Modest Mouse - who would have thought that they would put out an album that would hit #2 on the billboard charts!
The Walkmen - played here last night, great band.
Beastie Boys - New CD is too political for me lyrically, but the beats and mixes are just what you would expect from these guys, awesome.
Velvett Revolver - yet another super group. This is good, I can hear GnR in there, I can hear STP in here. It makes a good mix, not the best CD ever or anything, but something cool for GnR fans who are craving some decent guitar work from Slash.
Sparta - At the Drive In was an AWESOME band. They split and formed The Mars Volta and Sparta. I LOVE The Mars Volta. Great Prog rock band. Incredible even. Sparta is just ok. The are considered emo-core... which is basically... well, who knows what it is.. some type of "punk."
Some kind of Monster - Its funny, metallica releases this EP with all songs that have been on other albums before, except some are live and remixed. They add in this really new song with most of the old school fans hate, but then put on like 6 LIVE songs, and not just any live songs, old ones.. I don't blame them though, its a quick and easy way to make some cash and I am sure the hardcore fans appeciate it anyway.
