First time in a lil over a year....and I was on a roll!!!!! :(
My first year and a half driving I got about 5 tickets.....
I was on my way home from the gym today (w/my daughter), and by the time I saw him hiding behind some trees it was too late...:(
46 in a 30......
I guess I'm going to take defensive driving...but is the time worth it?? Should I just pay the ticket??

just pay. You were wrong then pay, cause if you loose it will cost you a lot more....

should have said your daughter was sick,

plead not guilty, go to court, talk to the cop tell him a sad story...cry a little and he will reduce it

next time say:

Mr. The Officer I wanted to be a police officer like you once, but I decided to finish High School Instead.

;)

I would take deffensive driving---You get a discount on your insurance and the ticket stays off of your record.

Man them cops really love to ruin the work'n man's day--huh:( "

I have received two tickets in the last two months--both when I was on recruiting trip for my sister.

ONe of them was bonified ---- He asked me if there was an emergency and I told him, yes=== I have to get to Weatherford(2hours away) to pick up my little bro from school.

He said "well, there will be a citation issued"

thanks alot, public servant.

I have thought about keeping a dozen doughnuts in my truck just in case.

Do what huntmaster suggest. I've done the Def. Driving class before and it is better than the insurance bump.

Also 36 tickets is just insane.

What a piece of junk it's only gold plated, i thought it would show sattelite pictures of the weather and surveilance pictures of your house and stuff.

Frackal, I dont think people can stop speeding once they've started, its addictive, lol. I've got a few tickets, but nothing like 36...WTF man, what do you drive?!

I am taking def driving this week. It sucks bc you have to sit there FOREVER, and the videos you have to watch are from 1970. Atleast it gets your ticket off your record and your insurance company can't screw you out of more $$$$. I think it is worth it.

my last ticket I did the deferred route-

pay $100 or so ...get no additional tickets for 90 days
it doesn't go on the insurance
*no defensive driving*

have you heard about def driving on the net? (you can do it in Texas)

kel :)

thankfully, i have never been ticketed for speeding

However i have been ticketed for Illegal Street Racing as well as Unwary Start ( i think that was the offense on the ticket....note to self and others don't do burnouts at red lights)

Street Racing Ticket - 270$

Unwary Start - Thrown out due to lack of officer apperance :D

After the class fees.. the DD course can be as much $ as a low end ticket but again the insurance bump is more in the long run...

Definetely take ddc course. Man, otherwise it will count a point on your insurance record and they will raise you premium for three years. Plus you might learn something new. I could teach class now I have taken the course so many times. I think like 20 to 25 times now. I raise my hand before they even ask the question but I have also kept 20 to 25 tickets off my record.

Yes I do...since I feel that driving amid humans with their wide range of stupidities is inherently dangerous, I am happy to drive the speed limit. It is simple, I simply glance at the sign marked "XXmph" and then proceed to glance at my "Speedometer," which informs me of my current speed, I try to make the two match and when I do I feel a sense of pride and I also avoid unpleasantries such as accidents, death, and tickets.
