what do you guys do to deal with bad cholesterol levels? stopped deca last week, staying on sust only, nothing else. but the blood test was taken about a week after deca shot.

values...
cholesterol - 226
hdl - 27
ldl - 209

good for you man..

my last was 375...

but i'm special, there are not other issues..

but still aas will mess with your cholesterol..

good luck

what's the normal range?. I thought mine was pretty bad. what kind of range do you guys get? kind of funny, i'm pretty sure there aren't many guys on here who actually get their bloodwork done.

did you get your liver panel done? AAS do a job on those too.

deal with your bad cholesterol levels (and most likely elevated liver enzymes) by going off. your levels will return to normal after few weeks. time on=time off for a reason

Why did you get your blood taken so soon? Why not wait until a few wks after PCT?

trust me on this one..

take 3-5 grams of omega-3 fatty acids every day. Split it up over the day, of course! A doctor buddy told me to do this to fight inflammation in my tendons and joints and said on a side not, "you'll love your cholestoral values.." And OMG..my chol. values were always under the total 150, and i was taking 80mgs of accutane prescribed by a doctor and on a short primo cycle 6 weeker..stuff is magic..trust me. It takes about a month to start it's magic but don't worry, you'll love the results!

long story. had an episode where I passed out, girlfriend thought I seizured. started checking my blood glucose and the shit was getting low and I was starting to feel faint, still happening. I have to keep a gatorade with me at all times and sip on it if I feel low in sugars. oh and of course, I have to eat every couple of hours (as do we all on here). well, doc said it was reactive hypo/hyperglycemia(i forgot which). and that was triggering the passing out. So while I was there I did ask him to do the blood tests and i'll also be getting a heart echo and ekg (just to be safe he said). I did also get the following

sodium - 138
potassium - 4.0
creatnine - 1.1

all of which were in normal range. wondering what he's gonna say when he sees that ldl #.

as for time on time off, i'm definitely not doing more than 1 maybe 2 cycles a year, and usually 8-10wks, so i do take plenty of time off. i guess we all just expect the values to be jacked while we're on. i just can't imagine being on all year round with those values. that's a friggin heart attack waiting to happen.

thanks man, very good info for me.

sesapure
fish oil
red yeast rice extract

though sounds like diet and cardio may be factors.

those cholesterol levels are quite bad for someone not using orals.

macro,
i had been using winny oral up until a week ago, with letro and deca. I can clean up my diet, and bump up cardio, and add the fish oil. how long should I wait before a recheck? should I stop the cycle, is it that bad?

I use all of the products you have listed and in addition I use flush free niacin too, I've heard its about the best over the counter for cholesterol, is this true macro?

get FLUSHING niacin. its the flush (widening of the arteries) that clears you out. I have familial bad cholesterol.

I take EFA's all the time, whether on or off... definitely recommend it not only for cholesterol, but a host of other benefits.

Also take Sesapure and Glucorell all the time. Now my liver enzymes and cholesterol only ever get slightly elevated after cycle.

Green tea, garlic, niacin, and policosinol also are good ideas.

is EFA's essential fatty acids (like the omega 3/6)?

does anyone see a problem with me taking the following all at the same time (no known issues about mixing them)?

flushing niacin
omega's
sesapure
policosinol
green tea

Yeah, it was more than likely from the Winny. That stuff will murder the HDL levels. Although yours right now are not entirely low compared to others i've seen with single digit figures. Your LDL is high though. Make sure to clean up the diet and add in some sort of cardio a couple of times per week if you are not already doing so.

Those supplements suggested by Macro and others will help some as well.

if it makes you feel any better i just gotthe following labwork done:

total cholesterol: 291 (desirable <200)
LDL: 241 (desirable < 130)
HDL: 28 (desirable >40)
liver enzymes 60s and 70s (normal ,45)

i have been on too long (15 weeks) so jhave take this as a warning and am off now. i have seen these kindof results before and retested a few weeks after going off. results will improve failry quickly.

i am open with my doctor about my steroid use. at my age i see zero point of lying,it never works. it was obvious something was up two or three years ago when my once stupendous vitals spiked for no apparent reason.

he is non judgemental but consistently warns me against doing steroids. he worries about the long term consequences of cholesterol and liver abnormalities. he was unable to answer if going on and off could result in long term damage as there have never been studies done.

i often read posts from respected mature EF members about never going off. perhaps they are immune, or able to control such abnormalities. i think its too dangerous to stay consistenly on.

btw i must fess up that i take no ancillarieswhile on for liver and cholesterol. maybe it is time i reconsidered. i figure since i go off for a reasonable time that is adequate. any opinions appreciated on this subject.
