Got drunk and became more vascular

Well, I'm going to confess. I cheated on my diet yesterday. My folks were in town so we went out to dinner and I stuffed my belly pretty good. Then I went to a company party and indulged myself in wine. After pissing about 25 times when I got home I noticed that I was 100% more vascular. Does this mean I'm carrying too much water?

My BF is about 19-20% but if you saw the veins in my arms last night you would have thought I was about 10--12%.
 
If it was red wine then yea. Alcohol will dehydrate you in the first place but I remember talking to the owner of supp store down here about it. He said red wine has something in it (Ican't remember what the terms were) that make the veins darker making you look more vascular
 
Ok 2 simple things, Red- Wine makes your veins seem darker...2nd the imediate effects of alcohol are...dehydration.......(thats why u get a hangover) so yes....thats why u were mostly more vascular...you had less water on you:fro:
 
One must also take into account the, "Beer muscles" effect, where you think you are much bigger and better looking then you really are.

But if I saw your gut I would think it was 28%. hahaha
 
I have heard for fact that competative BB have drank wine prior to comps to enhance cuts and vascularity
 
Yea the guy I talked to said to take a spoonful of glycerine and wash it down with red wine every hour leading up to the comp. Glycerine to pull the water into the muscles to look fuller, then the red wine to increase vascularity.
 
after one gets hammered, you always look more ripped by the morning because you piss all the water out of your system..don't worry, you'll be fat again as the day progresses:D
 
It's just dehydration -- the same reason pros take diuretics before a contest. So drink up, because dehydration is no good for your muscles, even if it accentuates your veins.
