ok guys , on thursday night i had to quickly go down the shop and grabbed my dad,s car. the problem is that my driving license has been suspended for 2 yrs. so when i came back to my parking space and stopped the engine and then the cops came flashed the light and told me that i drove the car while being disqualified. now i denied it cause if i driove the car hten they shuld have pulled me over on the street not after the car was parked. i told them that i came to get some food for my dog in the trunk. and there were dog food. so they took me to custody and send the details to crown prosecution.

The problem is the cops around my area know me and sometimes they just wait in front of myy house to check if im using the car or not. I cnt afford to plead guilty as it will be a custiodial sentense.
Also u can be in the driver's side if u have no intention of driving.
the cops didnt have a video camera in their car.#

any help anyone please

WTF ... is this in England? Why are the cops fuckign with you.. and how the hell would they even know you dont have a license from seeing some guy just driving the car?
 
well they r saying i was driving but didnt pull me over after i stopped the car and abt to get out. the thing is this is nt the first time they charged me but last time i got off as that i had no intention of driving the car.

Since then they have been harassing me. I am no jot joking. last time i get in the car with my dad and they are waiting on the soide road. r u telling it is theri words against mine. alsoi think that they need to prove me guilty without behond any doubt.
 
well the cops around my area dont like skin coloured people. and they have charged me twice for driving while being disqualified when i was not even driving. long story.

I want to defend my case.
 
Here in the states, you can be considered a DRIVER just by sitting in the drivers seat with keys in your pocket. Many drunks are busted for DUI without even starting the car.

The best thing to do is just stay out of the car. Or start driving around with a ski mask on. Have your dad do this too so if they stop the car and whip off the ski mask, it won't be you. Then they will hesitate a bit before doing it again.

Also, visit lots of drive thrus - namely banks - while riding around wearing your ski mask.

You can even get a license plate that says CHRISTINE and put it on the car. Then hang two manniquen arms out the window. That way it will look like the car is actually driving itself. If you get stopped, then don't stop at all. Instead yell out the window you are being kidnapped.

Now does your dad know about what has happend if soo, what did he say.
Also what legal right do you have,
Did they see you drive the car.
 
Not true AAP you have to put the keys in the ignition. Its how they catch a lot of people outside bars... they wait until you start the car then nab you.
 
the thing is they flashed the light only after the car was stopped on the side car parking space. They are saying they saw me drive and blah and blah then why culdnt u stop me staright away ?

I work in the security field so i have to work with the cops once in a while and i get along fine but this assholes arouind my area are not getting off my cases. I use to have a very good bbarristor b4 but unfortunately his wife passed away recently and he has left his profession.

Not necessarily. People have been caught in their own driveways, passed out with the keys in their pockets and charged. Guys have slept in their cars after a fight with their GFs or whatever and cops wake them up and make them take a breathanalyzer test too.
 
technicalities aside: Were you driving? if you did, and they saw you, well, your word against theirs, right?
 
the thing is there is a law in uk that many ppl dnt know is that even if u were on the driver seat with the keys and u can prove there is no intention of driving then they cnt do anything about it.

The cops have not charged me yet. they have sent the paper to the crown prosecution for them to come back if they wish to spent time with this.
I have to go back to the staion in 2 weeks time to know the outcome.

the main problem is that if i get convicted i lose my security license and my job.
My parents know the car is always parked there and that's our main spot. Now if they pulled me over on the main street then Im f#cked but they stopped after the car was stopped.

Your going to have to hire a lawyer. The way you are explaining it, it will be the cop's word Vs. yours in front of a jury.

Odds are you will win. The District attourney will more than likely drop the charge or reduce it once he sees you are going to fight it all the way to trial. You better be prepared to lie on the stand though.
 
STOP DRIVING IT BEFORE YOU END UP IN MORE TROUBLE.

Man, it ain't worth it. Right now though, don't sweat it. They don't have pics.

yes i was driving. they r saying they both saw me. however i stopped the car and was luking for my phone and i luk on the rear mirror and i see a car on the other side of the road. then suddenly it puts on its lights and came behind me.

and given the fact you know what might happen you still
took the risk, I mean really honestly did you have to really use

ok i had to get food for my dog but it was quite late so no shops were open.
the thiong is i dnt drive. I know i made a mistake and believe me last time they charged me while i was a passenger for drink driving while my friend who was driiving didnt get anything. my bail was refused and spend one week in jail in the life sentence sector. then my other solicitor put the case out and told me to plead not guilty for something u didnt do. but he was and I was so pissed off for spending that time in jail. The case was dropped due to the fact this idiots didnt turn up and lack of evidence.
 
Take it you drove it from your home address to the shop stopped the car got out then the police stopped and arrested you for disqualified driving, if thats the case chances are they saw you driving to the shop and even if they didnt they are gonna they saw you driving its two professional witnesses against . You will have to take it too trial let the courts decide ?

Well i too live in north london bro
The fact of the matter is, the police would not be hanging around you like a rash, if they didn't have reason too. Also reading your post and i have read everything you have written it seems to me that you did not learn your lesson the first time, Can i ask how old are you and is the your 2nd brush with the law,
 
the thign is i also said the car was broken down and i can get guys to prove that. I mean mechanic. so if these two guys come to court and say they both saw me drive and here i have a written letter from the mechanic saying the car was broken down then they wuld reali luk stupid ass. i wonder what evidence do they have?

i hate these cops around my area. going to move house now...

I never had a trouble with the law b4. Everything went down after my ex left me and i went thru depression and the same night got caught drink driving. i went thru councelling and changed my life for the best. the problem is they culdnot bust me for the last charges so sometimes they wait when they pass the street. Believe me these guys hate my guts. I am no drug dealer or some violent ass. My criminal record is clean except for that one driving offence, I am now 23.

ok. I went to the shop they didnt see me. when i came back then they are saying they saw me. but the place where they saw me and the place they stopped me has quite a few metres. Also these are saying they wre providing back up to another unit and coming back from that they saw me. u SHULD HAVE SEEN the guys face. he was happy cause he recognised me from the last time

i said i went to get my dog food. and theer was dog food. my parents use that car for shopping as well
 
Well you are a dizzy driver you shouldnt be on the roads in a car considering your not insured , what if you had injured somebody .

and take it from there, THERE IS NOTHING u can do now

Go to one of those paralegals if you have them over there that can get you off or a reduced charge. will cost you some money, but worth it
 
I have learned something.
In the US. cops treat you by your social position.
If you are upper middle class with a respectable profession, they frequently let you go.
I have been caught several times with a suspended licence (because I was too busy to get emissions checked on my car) and cops had let me go.
The most terrifying case was when I was caught in my nearby neighborhood. It is a working class neighborhood and cops are always on the street looking for violators just to make money for city. Even he let me go and just took my licence away.
One thing that helps is that I have a clean record with no violations.

If you have a clean record, always fight the ticket.
The judges usually let you go with just 'supervision', means no points on your record if you don't have any ticket in next 4 months.

well they are lying as well when they said they saw me couples of miles away.
Also I am just wondering if they use street cameras as well.

what it comes down to you were driving and wasnt supposed to ,you got caught
now you wanna say the cops suck for doing theire job?if you only have 1 thing on you rap sheet i dont think they would waste their time watching you its in you head
you took a chance with your life and the people that are around you drinking and driving you got lucky didnt kill anybody ,grow up and take your punisment if you go to court and lie and they have you on film you'll get screwed more

You better make sure you get it straight before going down or the courts will order you to starve to death. The courts will sentence you to death and remove your tube.
