I was working for Todd Masters (shameless name drop) on "Star Trek First Contact" (#2) assembling the RC arm extensions for the Borg drones, my Xacto knife slipped and stabbed into the side of my left index finger.......I took 3 stitches like a man.

That was 11 or so years ago I'll be damned if that scar isn't still slightly numb.

I liked "First Contact." I have an ACL surgery scar on my left knee. A scar I got from football on my right and one on my right hand from cutting my hand when I worked for UPS as an unloader in college.

I jacked up my right lateral collateral ligament not too long ago and surgery was being thrown around.....but it healed through physical therapy. Fuckin' hurt!

10 March will be the 1 year anniversary. Hardly visible now, but my clavicle is growing to encapsulate the fragment (none of the fragments were removed) that's still on the bone. A few calsium spurs makes it tender to the touch. Just had it X-Rayed, and the doctors don't want to mess with it unless shoulder mobility becomes a problem.

Damn bro, what the hell did you get shot for?

If you don't mind saying,

two leg surgeries from a motorcycle accident. skin was grafted from my thigh to cover my knee's.

u may be able to see it in my avi a little

I'm a bouncer at a punk rock bar. We escorted a gambler out that got into a beef with the bartender. He came back 20 minutes later - NOT to apologize - lol. I stopped him outside the bar, and like a fool I brought my fists to a gun fight.
The blessing is that I kept him from entering the bar to shoot up the bartender and any patron's that got in his way. The bummer is that it fucked up my bench for about a month - lol.

Shit...it's cool that you have a good spirit about it.

And damn good it ended where it did and not a massacre.

I am weird about my knees....I have seen major skin grafts before, amazing stuff, have you lost any sensation?

i really cant feel them when i kneel (no mo jokes...lol) and their is a weird sensation. so i have avoided kneeling for about 4.5 years. i am mostly worried about tearing them open like skinning my knee and how it will heal.

this morning i fell in my driveway right on my ass bringing the trash can in the garage. i am glad i didnt fall forward bc it probably would of done something to my knees.

matching lieutenant bar scars on each shoulder.
My rucksack run scars aren't visible anymore nor are my "bloodwings." I'm old and they just faded away like an old soldier... :)

my scars have nothing to do with military by the way, just happened to need the same surgery on both shoulders

I was wondering aboot that actually......lol

Right knee, broke my patella in half in 1997, have a 12 inch scar all the way down my knee. People always joke and say "Man was Frankenstein your Doctor?". Seven surgeries later, good as new.

Yeah it SUCKED ASS!! Pretty insane, my doctor thought I was going to have to get a titanium knee cap.

I posted this when Needto & Angels son had that break in his metatarsal in the Medical forum.

I broke my patella in half in 1996-97. Horizontal in one clean break, I hit a tree in my truck and the speaker box drove me into the dash breaking my knee. I spent two days in the hospital and 6 hours in surgery. They had to wire my knee and place two pins in to hold it all together. I had a strait leg cast for almost 12 months and by time I started physical therapy my leg was about the same circumfluence as my arm and I could only bend it 10-15 degrees due to all the scar tissue. I worked on it for quite awhile and got most of the muscle back but have had to endure six more surgeries.

One time one of the pins was working its way out of the top of my knee so I went in and they pulled one of the pins. Now the dumb ass Dr. should have just removed all the hardware since the pins where holding the wire together. A month later the wire started to tangle and one of the sharp ends was starting to poke through my skin and it hurt like a mofo. So I had to go in for another visit this time they put me out and removed all the hardware THANK GOD. I have been back three more times to have them go behind my knee cap and remove scar tissue so I could get my full range of motion back.

Ten years later and it’s almost as good as new, minus the really, really cold days. Squats are not fun either, but I’m happy to have a fully semi functional knee. I do triathlons now and it really never bugs me and I have a kick ass 12” scar all the way down my knee.

I forgot the scar/indentation I have on my skull from the forceps the doctor used to extract me from mom's uterus because the umbilical was wrapped around my throat,

Stabbed in left elbow, scarred. Stabbed 3 inches above my d!c*, scarred. Third degree sulfuric acid burns (25 percent of leg and about 10 percent on right arm).. Nothing hurts worse in the burns group that a chemical burn. OUCH!

When I was four years old I fell off my friend's front porch and landed head first on a piece of metal buried in their garden, requiring multiple stitches.

Forty-seven years later it looks like this:

the bullet was a gift from a police officer. the stab wounds were all from street \ bar fights. all of that was 20+ yrs ago. i have since reformed and live a boring but happy life as a biz owner, husband and father of four.
:)

Small one on my knee, one on my chest from a repaired pec, and one on my face from a fishing accident (damn woman!) but my goatee hides it.

I don't even want to ask about the fishing accident because we all know it was from casting.

Yep, I was about 10 years old when I took my little neighbor girlfriend fishing at the lake. I baited her hook with a worm and when I went to bait mine she caught me right in the chin when she tried to cast. I shouldn't have near the scar I do but the doctor I got had never been fishing in his damn life and had no idea hooks had barbs on them. He didn't even numb me up, he just grabbed the hook and gave it a quick jerk. It didn't come out so he then numbed me up and cut it out. My mother nearly popped him when she saw him jerk on that hook without any numbing agent.

Gunshot to the liver - Damn. Did it release toxins into your blood stream?
Which was worse, the stabings, or the gunshot?

Fell off my bicycle going full out down hill at 13 years old.
still have 2 "Keloid scars" from that wipe-out. My Dad is a wannabe Doctor so he always fixed us up.

I took a skate to the nose in a hockey game once too.

your body looks so young (READ: HOT). how old are you?

personally, Ive got 3 small incision scars from when I had my gall bladder removed, and I also have a 2-3 inch very faint scar in my pelvic area from a hernia surgery I had at age 3. I also have a scar literally from hip to hip. None of these are considered "cool"

Both of my hands are just piles of scars. A lot of people freak out when they see how beat up my hands are, lol. One of the coolest runs the entire length of the back of my right middle finger. I have two on my forehead from knocking my head open as a kid.

Then I have all my self inflicted scars (5 of them).

Cheers,
Scotsman

Only scar I have is a barely visible mark on my forehead from when I decided to play tarzan on the monkey bars when I was eight and my head met with a pole.

80 sutures to the back of the head
middle finger right hand sewed back on

the surgeon told my family that i would probably die in the fist 24 hrs from some form of septic complication.( also i was wearing a leather jacket when i got shot and a bunch of the leather entered the wound!) later the doc said i had a very strong constitution and that he had seen ppl die from half the trauma i experienced.

getting shot hurt waaaay more than getting stabbed. not initially........ but when i woke up from surgery i discovered i wasn't as tough as i thought i was lol.
:)

dope one on my eyebrow

I have almost the exact same scar, my lip was split in half though.

Apparently, a bottle of Bud was jealous I was drinking Corona and took it out on my lip. Love redneck/roughneck bars haha.

Wrestling with my dog, he got his claw caught in my upper lip right behind the scar and almost scratched through.
Now I have nice, full, pouty lips because of the scar tissue lol.
