Well I arrived early and walked around the local area........nobody tried to mug me so I figured that is a good start. Got to the interview on time and sussed the head of department out real quick.......we spent a lot of time just taking the piss outta things. The other candidates were either very late or basically told they were not suited to the job.
Met a lot of cool kids.....they have rough backgrounds but they also have decent manners and are a laugh a minute. The only kid I saw out of class was thrown out for daring to talk when the teacher was talking!!!
The interview was ok.......said all the right things (I did some good preparation). The Head of Science and the Headteacher agreed that I was the man for the job because I had ideas and drive despite lacking experience. I'm sure my references help too........they were pretty good.
So bottom line is I am now effectively in charge of science in the Upper School of a respectable school. Oh and there are plenty of single women heheheh.
