Google Phone?

The only reason I haven't bought an iPhone yet is that work pays for my T-mobile account and iPhones only work on AT&T. But... the Google Phone looks damn nice. I don't like that it doesn't have multi touch and there are only 1/10 of the apps for iPhones.

Anyone getting it? Likey?

you can unlock the iphone to work on tmobile, but i'm not sure if all the features will work. switching to AT&T just for a phone is a bad idea. unless you live in a big city and don't travel at all, their service sucks.

the droid is pretty sick, just as good IMO. i know it's on verizon.. but i'm not sure if it is exclusive to them.

Since u already have a tmo acct the when will cost u 529 bucks. They're only subsidizing the cost for new customers

I have a motorola. I'm not sure what. It sucks. One of the buttons fell off. But its cool, it still works. I can never get a signal. Might as well be on the dark side of the moon.

I'm thinking about getting one and not even activating the phone. It still does video, music, browses the web and has the best screen going. Once it gets some games it'll be awesome.

How can you use the browser without activation, can it pick up wifi signals?

It not only has wifi....it has wifi 802.11n, the new standard that is faster than wired networks.

802.11g = 54Mbs
ethernet = 100Mbs
802.11n = 300Mbs

all theoretical maxes, you don't actually get that with any of them.

The iPhone has more apps available, but that's because it's been on the market for nearty three years. There are a number of Android-based phones out now (T-Mobile G1 and myTouch, the Verizon Droid, the Nexus), and more arriving each month. I expect the number of Android apps to increase dramatically in the coming months.
