Need some input: good steakhouse and a good italian restaurant in NYC. I'm heading on the 31st of this month and will stay in the Theather District. Thanks.

Ruby Foos, corner 49th and Broadway, Blue Water Grill in Union Square, Balthasar of course the Four Seasons. By the way at 8th and 49th is a litte diner called the Olympia Diner(I think) it kicks ass. We stayed at the Time for 8 days and had a blast. The lounge scene in NYC rocks. lots of great little hang outs!

DEL FRISCO on 6th Ave WILL BLOW YA AWAY FOR HUGE PRIME STEAKS AND ITS WHERE THE WHOS WHO EAT.

ps- Peter Luger's in Brooklyn is the way to go. The best steak you'll ever have in the best environment you'll ever eat it in. (buy some sauce for home too)

Steaks:
1. MarkJoseph
2. The Strip House
3. Dylan Prime
4. The Post House

Italian:
1. Il Mullino
2. Le Madri
3. Lupa
4. Il Trulli

IF you have the time...Stop in at Tavern on the Green in Central Park for lunch!

I love that place for lunch on a sunny afternoon in NYC!

Vietnamien is Vietnamese in french. And Vietnam is still a french speaking country (as a second language).

Manny, I am merely busting velvett's ovaries.

If you had any idea, you'd know.

Let's hear some more! I go to school in Manhattan and have been quite disappointed in the restaurants I've eaten at in Morningside Heights and the Upper West Side.

One good one is Symposium, a Greek restaurant on 103rd between Amsterdam and Broadway.

Unfortunately I don't know many good italian restaurants or steakhouses in NYC. Philly on the other hand, I'm a seasoned restaurant vet.
