For all the Anti-War people (including myself) who thought that thousands and thousands of iraqi civilians would die in this battle...

We have to hand it to the US Millitary. We may not agree with the pretence of this war...but we really did a great job. Now i know its not over yet...and more people may die....But honestly, We did try to spare civilian lives, as well as our own.

For the sake of our world image, for the sake of the troops...i hope the rest of baghdad treats us the way the small minority of them did this morning.

At least i can admit it when i am wrong...

Dont get me wrong...i still believe that the Bush Admin is lying to us and has many alterior motives, but at least it seems like we are in the right. All those countries that opposed us must be pretty satisfied of our accomplishments, especially, if the iraqis are happy that we did it.

what was damn funny was something i saw earlier on the news. a bunch of iraqi's chased some aljazeera reporters out of baghdad into kuwait. it looked like they may have been beating them. the iraq's were mad because of the way al jazeera had reported the war in favour of saddam. its kinda of ironic.

Regardless, i think the difficult part is still ahead. Remember what most of the Soviet countries went though in the transition. Many have still not recovered.

It is good to see when someone can admit when he may have been wrong, and you have earned the respect of many including myself. Bush may very well have had alterior motives, but no matter what the reason was, I still believe we did a good thing for those people.
