I suggested Maiden or Manowar to my friends' band when we had the talent show, but no one in HS could sing well, so they decided to cover Pantera's Fucking Hostile instead.

They replaced "fucking" with a two-syllable guttural mumble, except in the last refrain where he enunciated it quite audibly.

They were told they couldn't play at the following year's show after that, but they were seniors anyway.

You know I always wondered what iron maiden would have sounded like if they would have gotten the lead singer of Helloween to front them. He has an amazing voice also and would have went great with the maiden sound.

Well, Bruce Dickinson's voice is hard to top nomatter who tries. The only voice for maiden is Dickinson imo. Both Blaze and DiAnno are good singers, but Dickinson is the best for maiden. I've listened to maiden since I was 7, and Have all their albums. This is the only band that I never get tired of listening to.

Blaze's two solo albums after he left Maiden when Dickinson returned, are actually quite good. Didn't like them at first, but after I had listened through them a few times the music kind of grew on me, love his voice, but not so much in Maiden.

I am, as you can see a pure metal head. I listen to everything metal from helloween to Dimmu Borgir. Metal is the only way to go!

Thx Powerslave. I am a metalhead forever, and I constantly work on getting more of my friends into metal. Quite a few have come around actually. I never got why people would actually go listen to techno(except for when clubbing). Come on, I mean, computer generated music? Why not listen to the real thing?

Metal has an ever increasing fanbase again, thank you gods of metal!

My friend Jared sang. I, while normally a drummer, played guitar because my lame 'guitarist' friends couldn't make it work. lol. It came out pretty well and the kids loved it, even though most of them had never probably heard of Iron Maiden. We all wore wigs and leather, it was good stuff.

Damn, I need to start playing again..
