Good Friend Passed Away Tonight

He was my dad's best friend and employee and like an uncle to me. He was only 48. He collapsed at work today and they tried to revive him in the ambulance, but he passed away before he even made it to the hospital. When my mom called his wife to tell him, I heard her start wailing and screaming through the phone and I thought my heart was gonna break right there. My mom almost lost it, but had to be strong for her. He was such a good friends of our family not to mention a faithful employee of my dad's company for several years. I don't cry very often, but I def. felt true tears tonight.

thanks guys for the kind words, i'm pretty calm now, just shocked....and no, thank goodness davey.....his daughter is grown, but it is his wife that breaks my heart.....i can't imagine being married to someone and then just waking up one day and their gone? i don't get it, it's so hard for me to understand why shit like this happens

Sorry to hear that bro, i know what its like to lose a loved one................i lost my first cuzzo just 2 months ago in Germany...............she was only 22 years old and died in a car accident. (drunk and drugged driver hit her), and she was only going to school..........................

Truly sorry here too. It sounds like it was a good marriage. To have a good one taken away like that is just awful. There are too few in this country to begin with.

I know the feeling all too well. I lost 5 good friends in high school between my junior and senoir years. It never gets easy it just eases over time. Sorry to hear of this and my thoughts and prayers are with you and his family.

nope....not at all....he was healthy as a horse that is why it freaked everyone out so much.....my dad owns a trucking company and he was tarping a load down (flatbeds) and the place where he was loading said he just collapsed on the ground....they called 911, took his pulse but he had none.....then the ambulance arrived and the hospital called us later and told us he died before he made it to the hospital. I don't know if anyone there at the scene attempted CPR or what? They told us they are still unsure of the cause of death and will have to perform an autopsy.

I hope people realize now why i always preach that life is too short for bullshit problems and drama. Enjoy it while you can and spend good time with your friends and family. No one wants to go through life fighting, arguing, bitching and being unhappy. No one knows for certain when exactly our expiry date is set at. So live life to the fullest. It's not jsut a saying. Tragic times like these make you realize it's truth so much more.

good im glad ur mom was strong for her friend, its very hard sometimes, to talk to someone because you really dont know what to say...they hear it all, sorry for ur loss he was a good man. i heard it all in feb with my uncle...just hug her and be there for her
