Good Ab Workout

Is this a good ab workout? I've doing this for a couple of weeks now, twice a week (Tuesdays and Wednesdays). I do weighted sit-ups with 60lbs on my chest and then I do some leg lifts on a bench. Should I be working them more each week or should I just work them more each day?

I would only work abs once a week, that is if you do deads and squats. And as al420 said, hold a lighter weight behind your head on a slant board and do full ROM situps. Start really light though, there is an insane difference in difficulty.

This is no joke - the difference between 25 and 30 pounds is really supprising to me.

I would recommend working the abs, in all four ranges of motion, Top to bottom ie: crunch, bottom to top ie: leg lifts, diagonal both ways ie: side/cross crunch, Rotation ie: trunk twist. you don’t have to do all this in one day, you can split it up in two half’s, and there is hundreds of ways to hit each of these. You can also work the crunch and rotation without actually crunching or rotating, its called working the invisible. For example, you can put your self in a plank position,(push up) and stabilize yourself, hold it for x amount of time, now your are working abs without crunching, lift up a foot, and now you are working rotation without rotating.
