Jacobs Creek Shiraz at 8-11 dollars a bottle. This stuff is fantastic. EVERYONE I have turned onto this wine loved it. Dry, almost spicy. Goes with just about anything but fish. Great with Steak.Maker her horny 4 sure.

If you are a big wine snob, you got to try this too. It holds up with wine 2 to 3 times as much. 2003 is the year I think. This is South Florida price.
I think some other posts covered the whites pretty well.

Smoking Loon is also an excellent table wine - red or white. Just about 10$ p/bottle and as I said, unless she does not like wine, you should be good to go.

I will drink merlot, shiraz, beaujolais but I do prefer a pinot grigio or savignon blanc. Of course, the menu is the determining factor.
