Sweet! I was gonna do a deck this fall, but I'm still debating. I already have the patio set, and I put a retaining wall around it earlier this spring. I'd like to put a hot tub back there, but I clean up enough thongs out of the backyard as it is.

If I were staying in the house and had the room, I'd definately do a full deck. I LOVE to walk straight out of my kitchen on a Saturday morning and have a nice cup of coffee on the deck. I don't want to sit in the dewey grass.

jack- i think it's safe to say i'm VERY into home improvement, young man. I'm considering building a chicken coop. But, an elaborate, really nice one.

.I was petitioning for a home improvement forum a couple of years ago but I got no where. There are only a few peeps on this board I know of that are into that sort of thing though..GL, you, aap and myself.

yeah, pretty much. it would be awesome though. i'm totally into that stuff.
well, everything except electrical work- but that's what GL is for.
anyway, i have an idea for a chicken coop, but i'd probably buy plans anyway- mostly because i don't know what's really RIGHT for chickens. i want a big pen area though, so i'd build a frame and enclose it with wire and a door for me to get in. I'm thinking like a 12' x 12' pen that leads right into the coop that could be accessed (by me) from outside the pen by lifting the roof on a hinge and gathering eggs.

Get in touch with Blut Wump...I know he's into tending chickens...he could probably give you a few pointers on that one. Smart dude.
