Golfer bors..........

High End Bro

Well I picked up my new driver at lunch today.

The 983K 9.5 degrees with a YS6 shaft in it. Mega sweet lemme tell ya! Can't wait to try this thing on the links this weekend in a charity tournament I am in.

I tried them all the Cobra, Ping, new Taylor made and Bertha's and this one was the most comfortable and consistent. Even the misses to left and right were only slight, not hooks or cuts and the launch angle was perfect and consistent.

Will just have to see how all this translates to the links.

I have the T.M. R580 and love it. I've seen a lot of people hitting the new Cleveland Launchers too. Supposedly the #1 driver on Tour now. BTW I just got the Nike Slingshot Irons. What Irons do you play?

Bitchin!

What's the charity? If it's the "Bigdawg's Krispy Kreme Cessation Treatment Fund" Then I would be more than happy to contribute.

Playing my Titleist blades I have had since the early 90's, I love em and am not getting rid of these things until they are worn out!!!

An even better charity! :)

Dreams Take Flight! They charter a whole plane and fly terminaly ill kids from here to DisneyWorld once a year.

Bro, you will absolutely love that driver -- wit ya on the blades - been playing Mizuno MP-14's w/ rifles for about 5 years now.

Me too, but I didn't like the rifles and went back to step.

And Dawg, a 9.5? You wimp, get a 6.5 with a mid-high flex point, you'll be able to hit it.

Yeah but for us old caks, the rifles seem a little softer

6.5 LOL are you fucking crazy, I am too old for that shit LOL.

Actually I used to play a 7.5 when I played 4 times a week but don't play enough now. Hell with a 6.5 even with a mid-high I would be lucky to get it above shoulder level LOL.

This one is perfect, my launch angle averaged 13 degrees and which is what you want. I might have been able to hit the 8.5 but I don't think I would be consistent enough with the amount I play now.

Old schmold. We're the same age, no..wait. I think you're 15 years older then me. Which would make you 52.

Anyway, you can hit a 6.5. I do with an XX shaft.

He said in the Juli Inkster thread that his swing speed is so slow he has to use his hazards. You need wicked ball velocity for proper trajectory for a 6.5

Well its not Julie slow you bastard LOL. I was surprised that it actually averaged 97 today. It used to be about 88-90 when I was a lower handicapper 10 years ago and to me my swing still has the same smooth tempo.
