I disagree entirely. Unless you are a contractor or have a boat/rv to pull no fucking point in a full size. just another dork with a small penis is what i think when I see somebody in a full size that does not need it. I've had mid size trucks (and i do construction work) for a few years now, no need for a full size whatsoever...plus doesn't rex live in nyc? wtf is the point of a monster truck in a city

Agree. Hell, most people that "need" a fullsize probably put something in the back once or twice a year that a mid-size would've handled without a problem. One of my friends has a small Dodge pickup that he treats as a 1 ton. He's one of the few people I know that actually needs a fullsize pickup because he's always hauling stuff around.

Only one other person I know needs a fullsize. He killed the transmission in his Mazda hauling his boat twice a month for years. He upgraded to a Silverado and he's getting slightly better milage with the V8 than he was with the V6 in the Mazda.

Rex - 4cyl or V6 in the Tacoma? I drove an 02 Tacoma with a 4cyl and it didn't have enough power for me. I know I would hvae had issues with the lack of torque while offroading, and yes, I would definetly offroad a new truck if I got one.

I tested the 4 cyl and was surprised at how good it felt for being a small engine. 2.7L 164hp. Gets 21/26 for gas on a 21 gallon tank. As opposed to the 2004's 2.7L 150hp. Fuel economy was roughly the same though.

Check crash safety ratings.

The Ford truck has been the most dangerous vehicle on the raod for a while. Supposedly they addressed this problem for '05.

SUVs are 27 times more likely to kill the people who get hit in a broadside.

SUVs and trucks are also very prone to rollovers.

Buy a minivan.

Much safer and 25 mpg and you can haul a lot.

Plus cops will yawn at a dead body hanging out of a minivan.

I'm waiting on my car to sell then I'm getting an 05 tacoma double cab V6 w/$2,500 sport truck wheels. I can't freakin wait.

Somebody want to buy my 97 Celica?

You hvae a Celica and you're buying a pickup. Guess you're one of the people that are trying desperately to make up for what they lack elsewhere, huh?

After owning two Toyota pickups since I was 16 I won't buy anything else. I'll be upgrading my current 1997 model to the 2005 later this year. The only complaint I have about the new ones is the body styling... I prefer the 2001 body.

lol
I have a Camry and a Celica. I don't need two cars, so I am needing/wanting a truck.

I won't comment on the lacking elsewhere part. I'm afraid my nose might start growing outward.
