I live in such a po-dunk little village that's it's a amazing that I get a chance to name drop but...
I'm in my gym Monday and offer to spot a girl whom I've never seen before. She's really fit so I ask her if she competes and she tells me she just got her pro card. Her name was Natasha Murtha and she was spending the summer working in nearby tourist area.
When I get home I look her up and it turns out she's only competed once; NANBF Central Midwest Championship Figure Competition, short division. She takes first place in her first competition and beats out the tall division girl for the overall win and pro card. This is after only training for 15 months.
The best part is she's married to Lydon Murtha and he's coming to stay with her (and workout in my gym) next week. Lydon is the 6'7" 309lb Offensive Tackle from Nebraska that just got drafted by the Detroit Lions.
I'll be sure and get a pic with the two of them in case either one of them gets really famous.
