Going to see the Blue Angels fly today

He thought it was kind of cool, but he was losing interest after a little while. When we were leaving and one flew directly over us, 100 feet over our heads, we all jumped because we were riding in a jeep with the roof off. Wild to see a jet fly over you that low. It's loud as hell.

Well, that's good he wasn't scared the whole time.......

Was there a lot of people??

Nice. We hopped on the fuel tanks at the Cherry Point Air Show to get a better view. You know you've been around jets too long when one flies directly overhead, and not only do you not jump but you don't even bother to cover your ears.

Get any good video or pics?

My video skills suck, but I've only used the video camera 5 times since I got it and never for action like that. I'll see if I can pull some of the steadier stuff I have off of there. I was trying to zoom in too much and wasn't realizing how unsteady the camera is when the zoom is out real far.

Some of the other guys got some decent pics, I'll have to get some of them. One of the guys was shooting with a DSLR and I know he got great pics.

A SHITLOAD. One of my friends went with another couple. The guy works on the base so they were able to get straight on and had great seats. Talked to him last night when I stopped by his house. He said it was packed on the base. I heard a few people say it looked like the biggest turnout ever there, but that's probably due to the base being on the closure list.

Was glad I went though I think I had more fun at our little after party though.
