Going to see the Blue Angels fly today

I will tell you this, tho. Sorry to see Willow Grove go, I used to catch P3 hops to there from NAS Jax on the weekends, so I could visit my parents in Williamsport, PA, for $12 total (train fare from Philly to Harrisburg at the time)

Whoa, Williamsport is about 45 minutes away from me.


Jen, traffic wasn't bad at all. Took me 10 minutes to get off the turnpike and out onto 611, a LOT less time than I thought it would take. We hung out at the one guys house til about 2 then took off and hit the back side of the base. We left just before they were done performing to beat traffic on the way back.

It was pretty cool, we had an ok view. My son was kind of into it.

I'm exhausted. Long day and drove over 300 miles.

Ok, used to go to the fair there, every year. I was born in Wellsboro, raised in Williamsport. Still go hunting every year at our camp at the base of the Grand Canyon in Antrim.

He thought it was kind of cool, but he was losing interest after a little while. When we were leaving and one flew directly over us, 100 feet over our heads, we all jumped because we were riding in a jeep with the roof off. Wild to see a jet fly over you that low. It's loud as hell.

Nice. We hopped on the fuel tanks at the Cherry Point Air Show to get a better view. You know you've been around jets too long when one flies directly overhead, and not only do you not jump but you don't even bother to cover your ears.

You in a MEU? I was on the Wasp and always had to head to Morehead City to onload our marines and airwing.
