my son is teething real bad. i have tried everything...he hates orajel cries even worse when i give it to him...tylenol makes him sleep for about 1/2 hour...then he wakes up and cries more!!!!!!

well to tell you the truth i did the wiskey on the gums. not a lot just a little bit rubbed on and it worked. the other thing is infant tylenol. but i did the colic hold, where you put the baby on his stomach on your forearm with his head in your hand and slightly tilted downward and rub his back. that got my son to stop crying most of the time. hope this helps. i know it drove me nuts too.

do you think it might be gas? my son had a lot of gas. sorry i couldnt be there to give ya a break. but this is all i can do. hang in there.

Pretty holistic, but Chamomille drops help a lot, also a frozen chew toy...you know one of those baby rings you can put in the freezer and you let the poor baby chew on to numb his gums for a while...Best of luck to you, hang on. I know it must be hard on you.

ive tried the frozen teething ring and the frozen wash cloths but he didnt like the coldness. i just hold him and he chews on me or his toys

used to get it OTC in the states - liquid with a touch of codeine in it

Go to the local store or health food store, both should have this, and pick up some teething tablets. The person at the Health Food Store should know exactly what you're talking about. They are a naturopathic medicine that the kids actually love! The will stop crying almost instantly. I used them on all 5 of my kids. I don't know what we would have done wihout these little jewels.
The kids like 'em so much, that once they figure out what they are, they will pick 'em right out of your hand and take them themselves. It's very cute! ;)

my gfriends lil girl is teething too and she is always feverish if you get too tired take him to the doc they will give him a shot also my gfriend uses whiskey on the babies teeth too. it works very well, so does the doc option

wont he choke on it?

the ice? thats what i thought. it could slip out of your fingers then you have a real big problem. if the ice ring didnt work then ice wont work either. when my son got real bad i gave him the tylenol. but thats up to you.

Yeah, she has that problem. You never know what she's referring to. It's bad enough she babbles in a drunken stupor most of the time.

If he is pulling at his ear then he most likely has an ear infection. Some kids get ear infections when they are cutting teeth.

Both my kids got ear infections everytime they cut a tooth. Lots of dr. visits.

hes not pulling at his ears but i am sure the ear infection is either there or on its way both my other two got them when they teethed

What a lovely little parenting seminar we have going here.
