going back to construction

New member
I have had a desk job for the past three years, enjoyed it, but it is not to stimulating for the mind and/or body, I have recently taken an offer (for double the money) to dig holes for a living while I go back to school. I was wondering how this will affect my AS (have not started cycle yet), and my body. I know the first couple of weeks are going to kick my ass, but I adapt well.
Any thoughts, or any bothers that work in construction now. Do you still hit the gym as hard? Do you do less back work?

I don't think it will help you at all (in the gym) since you will be tired as hell from digging, it will be much harder to eat at some construction job where your less likely to be able to work and eat at the same time (like you can in a desk job), but it will be paying you alot better. I'll keep my desk job, run this cycle and you do yours out in the field and we can compare results.......

I figure that because I will be moving all day and not sitting, I can lower my body fat a little more, and I can shove a couple of protien bars in my mouth between breakes. And I'm hoping that it will freak my muscles out and mybe create some new growth. As far as being tired for the gym, It will pass, and a litte Xennidrine goes a long way.
But that's easy for me to say sitting here at my computer, At Work, not doing shit. I'll miss this job.

I eat every hour and drink every 5 minutes on the roof. I've never had an inside job where I could eat when I wanted to. And yes the first two weeks are gonna kick your ass. also I'd avoid tren if possible it's kickin' my ass

While I'm natty, I can definitely attest to that.

I work a pretty strenuous morning job lifting some killer boxes around for a few hours a day. It is absolute hell on the joints. But I have had no problem at the gym between lots of rest and lots of food, especially now that I'm used to what I'm doing.

Drag your ass to the gym and stay on whatever schedule you have set up. Even if you're too tired to lift heavy, stick it out. You'll get used to it in less than a month (less I'd imagine if you have, um, "help") and from there on out it's gain, gain, gain!

Good luck, I know what a pain in the ass it can be.

thanks for the encouragement bishonen! I'll keep you guys posted and let you know if it breaks me.

I did the exact opposite I went from working construction to a desk job. I was natural at the time and I had major gains at that point in time of my life. Of course I was a lot younger then. I was 25. I had no problem digging ditches and hauling lumber and carrying shingles up to the roof and then working out afterwards. It just takes dedication and you will get use to the schedule after a couple weeks. Just do not fall into the beer drinking after work thing. That is what can really f*%# up your training. I have known guys with great amazing bodies get into construction and drinking everyday after work and end up losing their size and gaining a gut. Anyway, I am sure you can still train hard and make gains when you are working construction, just stay focused.

Whats up bro I also recently went back to work in construction about 2 weeks now.It fuckin sucked the first week, but Im getting use to it again I'm a little more tired when I get to the gym but fuck it's a good little work out Im getting all day.Just give it time and you'll get into the swing of things. You'll be suprised how sore you'l get from work even though you lift weights it's just totally different, well good luck bro.

I know a couple of guy at my gym that are in construction and I can tell that it kicks their ass because they workout light and are out of shape. If you are dedicated though it shouldn't be a problem and best of luck.
