GNC Whey = Nasty!

Alright, so I just went out and bought 3 lbs of the GNC 100% Whey (Vanilla) and tried it...

That stuff is nasty!!!! It tastes almost toxic! WTF?!

Has anyone else tried this stuff? I'm sure that at least a few other people on this board have had it before...What are your opinions? Were you able to put it in anything or add stuff to it to make it taste ok?

yeah actually i got 100% whey 2 lbs....i got it bc its cheap and im not able to lift that much nemore bc im on house arrest...which sucks a lot i might add.....but i got the chocolate and i was very impressed with its taste....it tastes like chocolate milk

a while ago, i got one of the 6lb tubs of the strawberry flavor. worst thing ive ever gotten from GNC. after a week i couldnt even stand the smell of it. i could smell it from ten feet away while it was still in the tub, and i wanted to throw up. GNC protein sucks

I use the chocolate and it just tastes like chocolate milk. I've actually been rather happy with it. 20 grams plus the 3 cups of milk I add is 44 grams total.

I'm on my 2nd 5lb tub of vanilla. I don't mind the taste too much at all, or maybe im just used to it.

I usually mix it with apple juice or other fruit juices and its not that bad.

i used gnc whey for a little while i always used the vanilla and put bannanas and strawberries in it. Tasted really good!!

I prefer Champion Nutrition Pure Whey Protein Stack. I'ts the best tasting shake I've ever had (Chocolate).

if in doubt get chocolate, you cant go wrong with chocolate

exactly....especially if u havent tried it.....choc tastes the best all around ....i find the strawberry will taste like rubber ((if it has a taste)

I actually like all three...the vanilla, strawberry, and chocolate. But as you already know I add milk to mine, not water, along with yougart, and bannanas it more like a banana split flavor when I get done with it.

It's not because the GNC brand is bad, but because strawberry whey in general tends to suck incredible amounts of ass, regardless of the manufacturer.

At $25 for 3lbs. of 100% Whey Concentrate, GNC's whey is a great value. If you want a higher quality protein, try Nature's Best Isopure which is a whey isolate......higher quality protein, mixes with a spoon but more expensive.

Exactly, bodybuilding.com I noticed has just about every supplement I could find, for CHEAP! Has anyone ordered from them before? EAS Phosphagen hp is 19.99 plus 4 bucks shipping. That is 7$ less than gnc gold card value price

GNC and many other whey proteins have aspartame, a big NO NO for your stomach to digest. Aspartame is toxic.....
