I started thinking about something recently. In terms of FAT loss, don't we get too caught up on whether we are using FAT or Glycogen for our energy needs during our cardio workouts?
If you think about it, we are burning calories, are we not? And isn't that our objective? What difference does it make as long as at the end of the day that we burn more cals than we take in, providing we get the required protein and nutrients of course?
If Glycogen happens to be available and we happen to burn glycogen during a workout instead of FAT, then we'll have less glycogen to burn throughout the day and will be burning FAT reserves instead, right? Won't the body have no choice but to tap into whatever is left for energy needs?
Now perhaps I'm wrong but it seems to me that what I'm suggesting would be the case. And if we are so concerned with burning FAT instead of glycogen then shit, why don't we all just go on CKD diets? Just my .02
