Glutamine or BCAA

which is more beneficial when leaning ?

i was thinking Prolab Glutamine Powder or MD Labs Glutamine

and BCAA do i need them if i get them from my protein shake (OPTIMUM NUTRITION)

BCAA is the amino acids that you cant hardly get from protein rite? optimum nutrition protein powder starting monday im gonna get alot from it so i guess glutamine I will need and ALA is expensive unless i come accross generic brand

The cheapest one you can possibly find... Beyond-a-century has a good powder for very cheap. I throw it in shakes and stuff, and if you like the pills i think DPS has the cheapest but i forgot the brand of it.

i think gluatmine is more beneficial when cutting since you need to keep your body out of catabolism with the low calories, and need to recover muscles quickly.

aren't BCAA's as anti catabolic as L-Glutamine ?

If they were not that $$$ I would use both when cutting

Both are anticatabolic... But I have more faith in BCAA's actually reaching the muscle than Glutamine. Both are anticatabolic however, and are great for cutting. I just found that i held on to more muscle w/ the BCAA's, and they're cheaper, they're just more old school.
