Glen Chabot retires from PL...but strongman on the horizon

Just got off the phone with him and big Glen will no longer compete in powerlifting but will be pursuing his WWE career, strongman and bodybuilding. Currently 275 or so at 8% bodyfat. Two torn pecs when he gets in the 700-pound range in the last two years didn't help either.

I saw Glen win the Arnold a few years back and it was one of the best benches I have seen - LONG push with a narrow grip and little arch - if you were there you know what I mean. And the showmanship he brought to the event was exciting as well.

I will miss seeing him on the platform but we can all catch him on TV soon...House of Pain!

It will be interesting seeing him doing some of the Amateur Strongman Contests in the future...give us the scoop!!!

any chance you could get him to post(or have you post) detail on how he trains bench and what assistence work he does?

2 torn pecs in 2 years from one of the most gifted bench pressers in history might tell us that wearing a shirt when going heavy is not such a bad idea.

He beat Kazmaeir's record, weighing less than Kaz, and suffered the same powerlifting career-ending injury that Kaz did.

Best argument yet FOR shirts.

That being said, I would love to see Chabot in the WWE. Will be nice to see someone with a known/knowable height/weight to compare with the guys on the WWE. Also will be interesting to see how much they inflate his already impressive numbers. Would love to see Chabot stand next to Steiner, give us an idea of how big that Steiner freak (said with love) really is.
