Since the vagina is a mucous membrane, whatever you eat will leave a smell there. Eating fish and seafood WILL leave an aroma. So will red meat. If she wants keep it nice, eat a lot of fruit with acids like oranges and strawberries make it nice too. It's a medical fact. (THIS APPLIES TO MEN AS WELL) Sperm and urine can also take on a foul smell, due to your diet. i've heard many woman complaining about their husband or boyfriends sperm stinks or taste better, and this can be the result of their diet.
part of an article i read: (this applies to men and woman)
Some people can suffer from a rare metabolic disease called fish odor syndrome (trimethylaminuria), where the body excretes high amounts of trimethylamine which causes the smell. These unfortunate people cannot metabolize a substance called choline, which in turn causes trimethylaminuria. Choline is found in eggs, fish, soy beans and lecithin.
But don't go cutting these foods out of your diet on the off chance they might cause BO! Fish odor syndrome really is quite rare.
Fishy odors from your vagina is another matter. While sweaty odors are quite normal from your vagina and bottom area at the end of a busy day, a fishy or other offensive smell means you have an infection, which can be cleared up with medication.
We have been pushed to the point of paranoia about how our vaginas should smell. We have own unique scent which, in most cases, men seem to enjoy. Any cosmetic company that encourages you to cover up "vaginal odors" is giving you bad advice.
Their products may smell nice, but can mask an infection and make matters worse.
The vagina also does a good job of cleaning itself and has no need of outside assistance from products such as douches.
Douching is where liquid is squirted up into the vagina via a tube to "clean it". But according to the University of Toronto: "Douches can destroy the protective bacteria in the vagina and make females more susceptible to vaginal infections."
I could not find one medical site which recommended the use of douches. They are not an effective means of preventing pregnancy either, despite popular opinion.
The Centers For Disease Control also found an association between regular douching and an increased risk of ectopic pregnancy (pregnancy in the Fallopian tubes).
As with the diet industry, a lot of advertising in the toiletry world promotes fear and low self esteem, and these are powerful selling agents. Spraying your vagina and panties with a 'feminine hygiene spray' may actually irritate your genitals - they are sensitive little areas you know and don't deserve to be drenched in unnecessary chemicals.
