I am prepping for national level show, figure. I am 4 weeks into my diet and I am stresssed. @weeks into my diet I had lost 4 lbs. 2 weeks later gained back 2, this am I am more than when I started. This is my first time using AAs for a show. My clothes are a little looser. My trainer says to stay off the scale, I'm putting on muscle because of the aas. But really, I can't go on stage and not lose weight??? :worried:

First off, you need to settle down babygirl.

It appears your body is responding favorably to the AAS, regardless of how calorie deficient your diet may be at this point. You are losing fat while gaining a bit of muscle density, remember that muscle weights more than fat, so it's not such a suprise that you may be gaining weight.

you are right, I'm hung up on a stupid numbers thing and I should look in the mirror instead. :xeye:

Another thing why you should stay off the scale is in order to build muscle & loose fat is your body still demands nutrients, those nutrients are resting in your stomach as weight, not bodyweight, just weight that is being utralizing into muscle.
A photo every few weeks would be a good way to guage your progress, along with a tape measure.

Sounds like you're on the right track, just watch the calories, get plenty of protein and keep training.
Good luck!

I appreciate the replies. I will stay off the scale. I must admit, I love the strength gains and the look of the muscle preparing this way as opposed to strength loss and looking flat. :anon:

I like the switch to Var... There are some mods on the womens forum that can give you some feedback... Daisygirl etc...
Good luck at your show!
