GHB question on the mixing

PKA

to those that know,,, Ok you have the lactone. with sodium hyd. and water after you measure and do the steps you let it cool down and check the PH on the batch. I like to have it at about a 6-71/2 but if it's over in the purple/ blue color what is the best way to even out the ph? I have been using vineger but some times the taste sucks. I heard lime juice does the trick as well. any ideas? Thanks :fro:

You could use more lactone but I am not sure that is the best idea. You will mostly likely use too much and excess lactone is not a good thing. (Yeah I know, all the wanna be chemists are going to speak up and say that they read some article on the internet about lactone being non-toxic blah, blah blah. ....and that it converts to G) True it does...but it also creates a little something else in your body that is no so good from it. I have observed first hand what using lactone can do to you! Better to get the stuff made right.

Do you know how far off you are with this batch? There should be no reason for the pH to be off....you must have screwed something up.

Better yet, where did you get the lactone from Chi? That might be your prob. right there. The lactone that I have gotten from there is not pure. LEt me know.....The only safe acids are vineger or lemon juice. Need something with Acid. HCl is not a good option!

By the way....interesting that you name is PKA and you are having a problem with pH!

hahaha

(funny if your a chemist.)
