I'm 40, and have been rehabbing a nasty lower back blowout for about 4 years between chiropractic, prolotherapy, a very clean diet and lots of core & balance work. Needless to say, I got out of the heavy lifting game awhile ago, and now just interested in staying fit and quality of life.
For awhile I really thought surgery was my only option, and it has been a very long & frustrating process. But prolotherapy has helped alot & things are much better. The lingering issue is a stretched iliolumbar ligament that allows my left hip to pop out of position on almost a daily basis. That's where the "blowout" really happened, and allowed my entire lumbar/hip region to degrade quickly.
I've decided to run a therapeutic course of GHRP-2 & CJC-1295 no DAC to give the prolotherapy a turbo boost. Hopefully double up on the healing process that the inflammation causes in the ligaments. EDIT: I am taking 100mcg of each 2x/day. upon waking & before bed, and following the no food for 2 hours before or 20 minutes after.
Here is my question - I believe that after a certain age, the pituitary loses it's ability to produce hormone (?). Is there a point in life at which peptides or secretagogues are no longer effective?
Also, I've read quite a bit about DAC, and I think in my case it may be better to allow the GH bleed that everybody on the main board is so afraid of.
I gladly welcome any thoughtful comments. Thanks in advance.
