GH peptides & Pituitary as you age - healing benefits

I'm 40, and have been rehabbing a nasty lower back blowout for about 4 years between chiropractic, prolotherapy, a very clean diet and lots of core & balance work. Needless to say, I got out of the heavy lifting game awhile ago, and now just interested in staying fit and quality of life.

For awhile I really thought surgery was my only option, and it has been a very long & frustrating process. But prolotherapy has helped alot & things are much better. The lingering issue is a stretched iliolumbar ligament that allows my left hip to pop out of position on almost a daily basis. That's where the "blowout" really happened, and allowed my entire lumbar/hip region to degrade quickly.

I've decided to run a therapeutic course of GHRP-2 & CJC-1295 no DAC to give the prolotherapy a turbo boost. Hopefully double up on the healing process that the inflammation causes in the ligaments. EDIT: I am taking 100mcg of each 2x/day. upon waking & before bed, and following the no food for 2 hours before or 20 minutes after.

Here is my question - I believe that after a certain age, the pituitary loses it's ability to produce hormone (?). Is there a point in life at which peptides or secretagogues are no longer effective?

Also, I've read quite a bit about DAC, and I think in my case it may be better to allow the GH bleed that everybody on the main board is so afraid of.

I gladly welcome any thoughtful comments. Thanks in advance.

All the healing boosting by prolo, GH, peptides etc means very little if your body doesnt have the material to repair to the damage. So many nutrients are critical to cell health and creation. Vit C is critical for collagen production and most people dont get nearly enough. Add at least 6 grams a day in divided doses of ascorbic acid. add 5 grams lysine in divided doses. 2-3 grams proline, high potency B complex. and make sure your getting 5000mg of potassium a day. Calcification of soft tissue is also a common precursor to injury so making sure your getting a lot of vit A and D in about a 5:1 ratio along with high dose vit K and magnesium to make sure the body puts the bone building minerals where they should be..

Thanks for the input Zyglamail. Ever since the inury, I've been doubly anal about quality supplemental vitamin intake, as well as raw fruits, veggies, leafy greens, etc... With the exception of the vit c and the 2 aminos, I am fairly close to what you mention. I'll give that a try. That said, I have responded really well to the prolo in the other areas that I've had treated. It's just this iliolumbar issue that seems to linger. L3-L4-L5-S1, and the SI joints tightened up nicely after a few treatments.

Really I'm curious about the window of usefulness for peptides with relation to age. Barring disease or unnatural circumstances, does the pituitary ever actually degrade to a point that it is incapable of producing GH even with the introduction of outside stimulus?

For me at 40, I don't think it's an issue. So perhaps this is more of an academic question. I've just never seen it discussed.

The vit C and amnios are actually extremely important. Just google collage synthesis. Ascorbic acid is used by so many things in the body, lack of it is actually the reason so many have clogged arteries. Arteries are collagen and undergo the surging pressure of millions of heart beats. Think of a garden hose you continually bend back and forth, sooner or later its gonna give. The bodies ability to regenerate/repair that collagen is critical and lack of vit C makes it difficult, especially with todays paltry standards of nutritional intake.

Im not sure there is enough research on the subject and even if their was the results would be subject since by the time people break 60 they are usually on a laundry list of drugs and suffer from at least one or more unidentified nutritional deficiency. We all know part of aging is everything slows down but I personally believe just how much is greatly influenced by how we took take of ourselves nutritionally up to that point.

Many problems caused by nutritional deficiencies, if ignored long enough, become irreversible.

That's a great point that I didn't consider. The fact that most studies in older people would be performed on people who never really paid attention to proper nutrition would really skew the results for those of us who do. I'll throw some extra vit c into the mix and keep on listening to my own body. Thanks again for the input.

Your pituitary will pulse from ghrp and GHRH regardless of age. Down regulation does occur after long term continual use but a week off has the gh peps working as well as ever.
DAC is amazing for recomp and muscle fullness. IMO, gh bleed is most similar to using synthetic hgh as levels remain elevated long term. The fear of gh bleed is over hyped.
