GH alone... therapy

Gramps is likely going to be starting HGH Therapy next week. As far as I know that is all he'll be on (I beleive 2 iu's a day) ... will taking the GH alone lead to any definicies or inhibitions. I see most everyone supplements GH with the likes of slin, igf, test, etc, so I am just curious as to whether or not I should advise him to add any of these in to avoid problems. Info appreciated fellas :coffee:

ppl who supplement GH and other chemicals have different goals than an elderly grandfather who is taking it for therapy. I would say to trust the medical staff on this one and allow them to do what they do.. Now if "Gramps" has a show coming up, then that is a different story. :p

He isnt a competitive bodubuilder, but is around 6' 190 and very lean. Works out about 4 times a week. I was the one that recomended hormone therapy for him. Hes 70 years old, will probably begin TRT in a few month aswell. Just curious as top whether hell see any strength/size gains whilst on the GH only prior to TRT.

Interesting. He may want to add a little test but this is above me so i will bump for a bro that can help with specifics. I would go ahead and throw all his stats out there and see who chimes in. Sorry i couldnt be more help

I have no way to prove this, but it's my own personal belief that your body won't be able to exploit exogenous gh to its fullest degree unless you provide it with all the tools it needs. For that reason, I eat more vitamins, protein, and supplements of all kinds than the normal joe. That's true whether I'm on cycle or not. Oh, and I'm 50.

I agree that high protien, vitamins, sups, high water intake (you failed to mention) are prudent but on what do you base your "won't be able" guess?

Hes 70, 6' around 185-190. Very lean veiny old bugger lol, lifts weight 4 times a week, golfs every day. Over the past few years hes noticibly gone downhill as far as strength, size, and athletic ability ... the years are catching up with him. Hes conscious, and in a bullshit session a month or so ago I ran by him the idea of TRT and GH therapy. Anyhow, hes going to be started on GH alone @ 2ius a day... and is planning on going at least 6 months. As i said before, the doc might prescribe some cyp a few months down the road, but for now hes going to see how the GH treats him. Anyone think hell see any improvements physically with regards to size, strength, or just the overall sense of wellness. Chime in fellas. thnks

Good question. Probably better than my answer.

Here goes. When I'm on gh, my hair and nails grow super fast, skin abrasions heal quicker, I rcover from my workouts quicker and my joints don't hurt so much. My theory is that if I didn't provide my body with supranatural amounts of the stuff gh uses to do its stuff, then gh wouldn't be able to do its stuff as well. I mean, the fact that my hair and nails grow so much faster tells me that my body is using up greater quantities of whatever it uses to grow hair and nails faster.
