Getting ready to start...

Sub-Zero

High End Bro
Platinum
hi, ive been here for a relatively short while, but im ready. let me tell you some background about myself.

I fall under the over compensating fat kid catagory, which i have been slowly, and recently rapidly pulling out of. i joined my school wrestling team and lost alot of fat and weight while in it. recently ive also been the kind of kid who thinks hes jacked, but really isnt, and flexes for his friends;)

Im 15, soon to be 16 in a month, and i DONT seriously lift yet. (by seriously i mean regularly-atall. I was shown here, because i have always had a passion for wanting to better myself, and i like to admire my lack of muscles in the mirror. Depending on what the PE department decides for our period, i will hopefully be lifting every day in PE, and if i am not, i will join a gym.

I had been planning on going to my school gym, but then my friends encouraged me into wrestling, so my dream of being a huge mofo was put on hold. I was at first EXTREMELY bad at wrestling, and felt i was just doing it to get healthy. In the past month, i have felt myself improving ALOT mentally and physically and skill-wise, and my goals of getting big, have switched to getting as strong as possible, with gaining minimal weight, so i can come back and maybe make varsity next year:D .

so i took a while to introduce myself, but thats who i am.
__________

okay, so in my galary are pics i took this week, as like a begining to my pre-lifting/startout pics (the stuff u look back at in a month or two to motivate yourself). i know that by only having pictures of my arms, im falling into the curling in the squatrack group, but i dont wanna be that. i dont have anyone to take pictures of me, but i can try and get my brother to take some when he comes and visits me. i can also try and get some pictures of my legs, or lack there of (muscle wise) myself, but ill do that a little later on.

feel free to critisize me (even though untill i get the rest of my body up there, there isnt much to critisize) as hard or as easy as you want. NO OFFENSE will be taken, even from the assholes, because i havnt even started yet. ive learned alot and i hope to learn more

dude, if i didn't know better, i'd say you're a whiter version of me haha. muscles in the arm look very similar, especially in the second pic.

but seriously, are you just going to put up shots of the arms? you know the "high schooler" stereotype workin.. oh shits i just read that part of your post. crap. er, but again, maybe you should have waited till you got everything else up? i mean, it's not that hard to just remove the shirt at least and take some shots.

i don't see a problem training and wrestling at the same time, wrestling may even help your training! when i first started lifting weights i went into overdrive with it, doing stuff five days a week, and since i just started it worked well (until i finally burned out and took two weeks off five months later). looked something like this for me:

monday: weights
tuesday: judo
wednesday: weights
thursday: judo
friday: weights
saturday: hockey or off
sunday: hockey/rec football

not telling you to do what i did or something, but i mean i'm just saying since you're starting out, it may still be possible to wrestle and lift at the same time.

good luck!

yeah, to the arm thing, i just wanted to get the pics up before i deleted them off my computer (dunno what my parents would think:D )... but yeah maybe i shoulda waited, oh well.
ill go try and take some other pics... may be hard though with no1 else taking it

and we do lift sometimes in wrestling practice, but its only like a muscle group every 2 weeks, and i dont have time with practice every day till late and then homework, to lift separately

haha yeah i totally know the parents thing:p (omfg teh pr0n!)

the muscle group every 2 weeks ain't gonna work. maybe you could look into a temporary weekend gym. or buy a chinup bar for your house. the twenty dollar investment for me was worth every penny. just do pushups, bodyweight squats, pullups, and burpees.

yeah, but in my intro post i said i was gunna start lifting every day for PE.

and pushups, bodyweight squats (which i do to practice form for the rare legday during practice) arnt enough weight .pullups are the only thing that would do anything for me.

and yeah i saw your picpost, and i already had replied to it:D

btw, i have to stay the highschool workout stereotype for a while, cause the pics didnt workout

lol that's cool.

don't overlook pushups though, they are a avery good exercise. i thought they had no merit when i began to bench and db press regularly, but i've since gone back to doing pushups on a daily basis, especially t-mag's explosive pushups to help my bench. bodyweight exercises are always very helpful stuff!

I started working out at 16 but then and didn't pick it up again until age 20 cause I didn't really know what I was doing. When you have the sense to start at your age, whatever you do, don't quit!

Always measure your progress. This game is won in little steps. Don't just walk around the gym randomly doing exercises. You're 15. You'll grow out of control in the next few years. Add a lot of *healthy* food and working out to your natural growth and by your senior year nobody will even remember who that fat kid was. And then you'll have a freshman cheerleader girlfriend, YUM!

alright, i finally got some legs taken, and a front one...the back wasnt so successfull but i got one visible one.

i know i need ALOT of work, and my brithday is coming up, and im getting a gym membership for it to lift off season, but i critique people's pictures, and its only fair i post me.

good quads. at your age all you need to do is work hard and eat tons of protein and you'll blow up fast.
