Getting no gains

New member
I am new at this stuff, especially the dieting, so I guess this is the most appropriate forum to post on...

I weigh 162 and I am 5ft 10in--I have never had a bf test or anything like that (man, where do I even go for that?)--but I think, compared to the fat, lazy, college students around me, that I am in good shape...but here is the problem...

I want to get considerably bigger....I have been weight training for almost three months now and I am not seeing much gain..the mystery is this though...I look bigger, feel bigger..I even cannot wear certain shirts and sweaters because they look too small (my back and shoulder have increased dramatically)...I have and still CONSISTANTLY increase weight on each and every excersize in every single freakin' muscle group. I am no doubt stronger, that is not the problem. But I want mass too, Please help me..oh yeah, I guess this is important info, I STARTED WEIGHING ABOUT 156-158...are you telling me that I added about 4-6 pounds of muscle??????? That's it?!?! It must be the densist, leanest muscle ever. Please tell me how this is possbile, and what I can do to fix it...I greatly appreciate your help and info, this site has proved to be amazing so far, thanks..

You can either train for Hypertrophy or Strength or even a mix. My guess is you are just going through "newbie gains". You need to post your diet and exercise routine before anyone can really help you. Diet is usually the problem 95% of the time, but since you are new....your training probably has issues that need to be dealt with as well before you will grow.

Yeah, I am going to do a serious evaluation on what I have been eating and what I have been lifting, I will post this info for you to read, then maybe you could tell me what I am doing wrong. (I thought I eated enough food).

Thanks,
