Getting certified....

Hey all I have been thinking about getting certified as a personal trainer for some time and have finally decided to act on it. I was searching the internet and I noticed so many sites for certification. Any advice on who I should go through to get certified?? I've heard a good bit about ACE but wanted to get others opinions as well. I posted this on another forum so I do apologize if this double post inconveniences anyone. Thanks!!

AFFA, ACE, ACSM, ISSA, and NSCA are the best, most popular ones. I've had ACE for a few years and next I'll go for the NSCA

The two best I've heard of are ACSM and NASM. Those are the two best in the world based on my understanding. I have an AFTA which works fine for me. Alot of it depends on what you're willing to put into it. If you want the very best, then go with either of the above two that I mentioned. However, if all you want is a certification to say that you are certified, then just go to AFTA or someone else that is good and reputable. Alot of places only care that you are certified. It won't hurt you to have a cert for someone other than the very best.
