Getting a big thick Neck!

I have a descently sized neck the way it is, but come on, what guy doesnt want a hugh thick neck? I want to try to improve my thickness even more, does anyone have any tips or workouts to help strengthen and bulk up your neck???

The neck seems to grow in proportion with the rest of your body. So as long as you're doing the big lifts (including deads!), your neck should grow with the rest of your body. I never really heard anyone (in real life) getting good results from direct neck work.

maybe best to take booey and tc2's advice, as my post was just a suggestion and not based on experience.

Why the heck would you want a 'huge thick' neck? it will, for one, make your shoulders seem smaller and narrower, and for two make your face look fat.

Check out what David Coultard (F1 driver) does, because his results, they are clear!

seriously...just do deadlifts.

I'm back to lifting after having an injured hand(4 months) and my neck is already noticeibly thick.

do you want a huge neck, or traps?

I agree with jdevlin, why would you ever want to disproportionately increase the size of your neck? IMHO, it looks just terrible. Doing any kind of shoulder work like shrugs, etc. along with the previously suggested deadlifts will make your neck so fat you'll be wishing it was thin again. Getting it thinner is a real challenge. Not to mention none of your nice oxford shirts will fit again. You'll have to get custom fat-neck shirts from the Men's Warehouse...jk ;)
