Radar, rather than continuing bashing Gearbox, why not indulge us in how you guys "know" it was them for sure?

I don't deal with Gearbox, but I can't be expected to hate them without someone giving me some info on how they know it was them.

Yes, I know some spam was going out, but that doesn't mean shit. It could simply be that the owners of Gearbox knew GPZ was down, so they wanted to remind everyone that they are still existant?

Who knows. But you should let us know how you know it was Gearbox for sure.

I have what I consider to be strong evidence. I starting recieving unsolicited emails from gearboxinc right around the time all the BS started up with GPZ. When I asked gearbox how they got my email they stated that it must have been entered as a referral when someone placed an order from them. I call bullshit on that because it is an email that I only use for GPZ and noone else. Also at the same time other members on this board reported getting the same email from gearbox stating something like "a friend said you would be interested in our products...". At the time I thought for sure that GPZ and gearbox must be the same company because I have only used that email for GPZ orders.

I suppose its all circumstancial but it sure as hell adds up. Spooked the hell out of me to get an unsolicited email - I do NOT like that shit.

I placed an order with getpinz last week and I received it successfully today. They are up and running.
