Yesterday I went to this spot on the coast that is close to my house. The place is at the bottom of some cliffs, has a bunch of big , flat rocks where the tide barely reaches and it leaves lots of little streams and puddles that are full of crabs, small fish, sea urchins, star fish, etc... It's cool to go relax, get your feet wet (up to your knees or more) and see some sea life. You can sometimes see dolphins and whales passing by too.
Unfortunately yesterday the tide was in too deep, so all the small streams and puddles were covered in water. So I took a walk along the bottom of the cliffs and found this awesome rock at the edge of the water where the waves were barely carresing it's top. I decided to sit on the rock, relax, get my butt wet and attempt to meditate. It was the most awesome, peaceful time I've spent in the last few weeks. The sound of the sea, the cool breeze and water droppelts hitting my face. No telephones, TV, computers or passing by cars vying for my attention. Peace!
I was there for maybe 30 minutes, before the tide came in even higher. What was at first the occasional big wave that soaked me up, every 3-5 minutes, became the norm. After a while I was soaked, and spitting salty water every 30 seconds, so I decided to leave. It is however, the highlight of my weekend. I have all these beatiful resources around me (litteraly) that I rarely take advantage of, I need to get out to these places more often.
