"Germany Must Perish"

Written in 1941, presents a surprisingly radical solution to the German problem, as written by one American-Jewish author. This was before any Nazi plans for the deportation of Jews to camps. Here the author portrays Germany as a people with a purpose none other than war and world domination, however seriously you personally want to entertain the notion depends. What gives this book relevance is that it was acutally endorsed by 4 major news publications. It makes it difficult to dismiss the book as merely the opinion of one. It was later in turn used by the Nazis for propoganda purposes, upon which Hitler ordered the requirement for all Jews to wear armbands bearing the word "Juden".
Like it or not, Jews and Germans were at war with each other long before "The Holocaust" or "Final Solution", or even the Third Reich. Here it seems like more a matter of simply "us or them". An interesting twist on historical fact to say the least.

It seems the book has been slapped into obscurity, residing on the dusty shelves of Amazon.com. Actually I'm surprised they're even carrying it.

As far as a bird's eye view inside Germany circa WWI up to the end of WWII, it's tough to beat this-

A documentary featuring over 20 years of archived footage giving a glimpse into the attitudes of Germans, as well as diary excerpts from Hitler's minister of propoganda. This is about as honest as it gets, coming from a man who early on had much reason to be skeptical of Hitler. It was aired once on PBS and is yet to air again.......In the meantime there's always the dvd.

An eye opening and honest look into that portion of history for anyone interested.

It's interesting how much the passage of time changes the perspective. Nowadays few would argue Germany has any realistic ambitions at domination. If anything the assimilation of GDR will slow any plans Germany might have had.

That's one of the points the author addresses as being an unrealistic argument, which is basically the whole point of the book. Everyone has different views/ideals it seems.
